Doesn't matter how I get to 20 as long as I had fun getting there... I remember doing farm runs in high level areas with 3 henches just to get to level 20 only to find out that when you get to Elona there was this one mission that boosted you to 20 straight away from level 17 that was. But in the end I had fun playing the game especially when you had awesome people that partied with you.

Well, it's not leveling itself that "Impatient PvPers" hate. It's the repetitive easy tasks that have to be done to level. If getting levels involved getting past challenging obstacles instead of fighting 30 easy battles that are all solved the same way then there would be no problem with them.

It's not that that working hard is seen as bad thing, it's just that it's a lot more fun to work smart.

I also loved Nightfall...

Prophecies was AWESOME and make no mistakes, Factions was pretty nice too, but this one is simply...the BEST up to date

In MANY reviews the first one got arround 9.5 score, the second close to 8.9 and so...this one I think have a shot for perfect 10s I haven´t seen the rest of the content yet (only played 3 hors), but if things keep the way they are now, I am pretty sure I would give it a 10

Latter.

Just play the game already and live with the fact that Anet can't please every single one of you out there.
Agreed

the first thing that put me off factions was how easy it was to get to lvl 20. I worked hard for my first level 20 in prophecies and i felt like i had actually earned it. When you get to Level 20 without even trying in 14 hours that sucks.

and slow levelling? o.O i was level 11 after 6 hours of playing and i'd say a good 2 hours was wasted on waiting around for guild members or doing other stuff.

you must be playing wrong aiiiiight

this is nice and balanced. and i love it.

I heard that there are numerous design teams in Anet. I also heard that the design team that created Prophicies also made Nightfall and a different team created Factions. If anyone can verify this I'd be grateful.

Also, I think many of you are forgetting the fact that there are many, many people that enjoy faster levelling. There are also a lot of people that don't enjoy it as much. I myself prefer lots of smaller quests for a smaller amount of XP.

You make a dissapointed person happy by changing something which in turn creates another person dissapointed by that change. It's an endless cycle, that cannot be prevented.

I really like nightfall too it looks like anet tried there best to lsten to what everyone wanted. Im little worried about having to buy weapons and sheilds for my hero tho but this seems like it will be great

I love nightfall, but is anyone else here slightly disturbed by the quests that require you to farm collectors items? These remind me of WoW a bit too much, and the grinding quests where you had to farm low lvl enemies was a big reason I never played that game.

Definately better to slowly level, you learn how to play better.

This is true. Anet has at least three teams, one that's making chapters 1, 3, 5, another making 2, 4, etc. The third handles events.

The graphics in this game are amazing. 1.5x better than either of the other 2, but not so much to make it seem lopsided when going from one continent to another. Surprisingly, I get higher fps in most places than the other 2 as well.

I'm just angry why Arena Net can't commit to only one type of Guild Wars. Either make the lvling long and enjoyable, progressive, or make it instant lvl 20. It's as simple as that.

I like the pace they've set for leveling up this time around. It's not too slow as to be a grind (thanks for the XP boosts!), and it's not too fast so that you're feeling rushed to get to 20. It's also friendly to new players.

The complaint that "there's not enough high-end content" is utter foolishness! You don't know how much high-end content there is! It's like saying "Nightfall's story line rocks!" having only seen the first little bit of it.

That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing how the story plays out. The bits that I've seen have got me interested, and the "blowing stuff up" aspect of the first mission has got me excited about what may come in subsequent missions.

This is a preview event, Im sure youd be closer to 20 in the actual game. I beat the island and i was about level 15. remember, tyrian and canthan characters are going to arrive most likely close to where elonians start on the mainland, so its going to be level 20 content from there on out

No, both teams (or all 3) made chapter 1, then they split up.

True. It's a shame we can't really have it the Prophecies style ever again. I mean the fact that the level 20 content was much more later in the game. I loved slowly upgrading my armor and weapons in different cities as I went through them. In Factions, you just get off the island almost level 20 and you have immediately access to all the top stuff. And top enemies.... And I guess it will be pretty much the same in Nightfall. Oh well, I'll get NWN2 for the real role playing

in my opinion, it depends on the game environment. in prophecies, i could get to lvl 6 just from the beginner island

in nightfall, theres a lot of content, but im a low level.

in factions, not much content, and by the time you get to vizinuh, youre lvl 20. i actually found factions quite boring because of the lack of content, but i enjoyed the challenge.

Based on this WPE: Nightfall -> Prophercies -> Factions.

I think Nightfall is utterly awesome at this point!

Chapter 1>Nightfall>Factions

^ My List

Anyway, All the PvP-types are the ones complaining about leveling being boring, PvE-buffs usually ENJOY gaining levels and finding slightly better weapons and all that has to do with low levels.

Factions messed up because the game was already REALLLLYYY Short, and making you FLYYYY through the lower levels with 4-5k exp quests in the first town didn't do anything to hide the fact that it was content lacking...
